The platform design is based on using CNC low profile column load cells that are sandwiched between two thick platens.

The customer for this application required a load cell system that would provide the same contact area when the force is applied to the platform as when they load their test specimen.

Within the design we allowed for special fork lift plates either side of the unit to enable the operator to easily moving the system in/out of the test rig.

The output from the load cells was linked to our rugged Apex Junior indicator to display the force applied.
